PANOS IOANNIDIS
“Taste is not just a sensation.
It is an entire world that fascinates me, and I want to share it with you.”
I come from a family with a long tradition in cooking, having grown up surrounded by flavors and aromas. With two grandmothers from Constantinople, both exceptional cooks, my love for the kitchen was born at a very young age. As a child, I sought out taste and well-prepared food, and from an early age, I experimented with creating dishes that would transport me. I chose to pursue a professional path in cooking, training under distinguished chefs, gaining experience and knowledge, and embracing taste and culinary arts in every form and medium of expression.
My passion and preference for Mediterranean Italian cuisine led me to the decision to establish my own dining space in the heart of Athens. In collaboration with entrepreneur Panos Politis, I opened OVIO, a restaurant with a menu inspired by Mediterranean flavors, aromas, and the memories I have preserved unchanged from my travels and from the experiences I gained while living in Italy.
